Allrighty... It's been awhile since our last update. Our schedule has been nuts, and Chiz has been working sporadic hours at his job, so you get the idea...
Let's start with May:
Colleen Brown's graduation party was a huge success!!! The toasts to our new graduate were quite moving, and the band played exceptionally well! We had a blast doing it. Joe and Dianne Lyons were great hosts, and apparently their neighbors stopped all that they were doing to listen to the band... It makes us feel good knowing that we made them feel good, but wait till the neighbors get our bill!! Just kidding.. To see more of the party, click on to the link at the home page.
Derek Jordan has been in the fold for approximately 5 months, has never played bass before joining us, and we must say he has already become one of the best bass players we have ever played with. Derek also had some co-workers come out to see us on June 1st in Wildwood, and we more than appreciate their support. Derek has been making the most of the pleasant weather and has broken out his trusty bike at every available opportunity.
Steve Sabo ( we finally got his last name right!!) was coaching La Salle baseball, and I believe their record was 10-2. Not too shabby. He is also the step father of a brand new mic stand and tambourine, so he will have plenty to do when he is not singing. Steve also suggested that we put back Grand Funk's "Were An American Band" and the first time we rehearsed it, it was truly magic!!
Drummer Marty Nolan celebrated his birthday June 1st, and spent it playing with the band at the soon to be infamous Bayview gig. We appreciate his commitment to this band, and giving up his birthday to do what he loves to do best. He even gave up tix for the Hollyfield fight in AC!!! Happy Belated, Marty!
Soundman and Webmaster Chiz Wolfe has a rather growing hobby, it is exploring abandoned sites and towns in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. He was absent from the June 1st gig because he was a "Tour Guide" of the Pines for people from all over the State that made the trip there. This was organized well in advance of our booking. Since he has been doing this he has discovered very rare coins and bottles as well as other artifacts, worth a modest but tidy fortune! Now if he can only find some vintage amplifiers....
Not much going on in Mike Bisceglie's life. The guitar player has been busy securing gigs for this year's summer season, so he hasn't had much time to do anything noteworthy the past couple of months. He has gotten quite a few bookings though. Just click onto upcoming events to find out when and where, and hopefully we will see you there!!
That's all for now. KEEP ON ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD!!
