MIKE
Out of all the band members that have come and gone, guitarist/keyboardist
Mike Bisceglie is the only original member still in the line-up. It was Mike
who got the band their first booking down the shore, writes nearly all the
groups' original material, and assumes vocal duties while the band is
between frontmen. In the studio, he is also the group's producer and
arranger. Because he is the original founding member still around after 20
years, he has assumed the role of THE GENERATION'S leader, though he would
much rather stay low-key.
An accomplished guitarist of more than 25 years, he has taught himself
keyboards, drums, and bass as well; and taught both former bassists Joe Zedny
and the late Jeff Pizzano how to play (since they never played prior to
joining THE GENERATION). Mike also has the distinct honor of being in the
Philadelphia All-Star Band with the likes of Tommy Conwell, the Bricklin
Brothers, and selected members of the Hooters. Always being asked to sit in
on sessions, he does find time to guest on certain projects, most notably
with the New Dawn, the Mistreaters, and Roadhouse.
In his spare time, Mike is somewhat of recluse, spending time reading, going
to the gym, and playing with his cat, simply named Kitty Cat. He also hold a
Bachelor's degree in Political Science as well as Criminal Justice.

MARTY
Tired of nine to five internment in an office cubicle Marty flew the coup
after a ten year stint with a megacorp. He then actively pursued a music
career as a late bloomer remaining jobless and practicing many hours per
day. Then came a couple years with an all original band "Missing Socks"
playing such venues as The Middle East in Philly and CBGBs in NYC. After
Socks demise various projects such as "Tosspot" and "Awe-Tax"(an internet
Muilti-media project) followed. "Keltic Son" a Doors tribute band sharpened
his skills as a cover player and now he has landed with The Generation.
"The music we are playing now is what rock and roll is all about. Basic raw
energy without the clown makeup. I love that we take liberty in putting our
own signature on the tune selection while remaining true to the original
intent. A live show is all about emotion and we have plenty of that."

STEVE
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Steve got his start in music under the
watchful eye (and rulers) of the Sisters of Saint Joseph while singing in
the choir at Resurrection of Our Lord grade school. For years after, he was
a self-proclaimed ?shower singer? until making several guest appearances
with local favorites Slippery and the Skirt Chasers. After moving to
Budapest, Hungary, Steve met Mike Kentish, better known to shoppers at
PeopleSound as The Infiltrator. He joined Mike for a show in the UK with
his duo Django Kill!, and later appeared several times with Kentish?s new
band, Tea Thieves (Your Wife Records), in Budapest.

DEREK
Originally a member of THE GENERATION as a sax player in 1989, bassist Derek Jordan returns to the band in a new roll- a roll he is most suited for. Aside from
playing bass guitar and sax, Derek is also accomplished on both guitar and keyboards.
Derek's musical training goes back beyond high school, and he was a member of the high school jazz band as well as South Jersey and All State band ensembles;
positions held by only the most elite of music students.
A lover of the blues and classic rock groups such as The Doors, Derek is also an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. When not playing with THE GENERATION, he can
be seen riding the roads on his trusty Harley, or spending quality time with his wife, Liz, and their 2 children.

CHIZ
Back from his tours "around the world"; Chiz is finally going to be settling down on the East Coast. As another original member of the first line-up, he is back to help out THE GENERATION in anyway he can. Why, because he has a passion for music and loves every aspect of it.
Chiz is an accomplished percussionist and has been playing for over 30 years. He also plays bass, guitar and keyboards when he is not behind the drum kit. He has played in and with many bands through the years all around the country and the world. He also has been on several albums (remember them!) as well as CD's with several bands. He can be normally found behind the sound board at the gig's but will pop up on stage every once in awhile.
Chiz has spent most of the past couple years out in California teaching basic percussion to kids, playing with bands and just having a good time with the music industry. If not playing, doing something with the band or working, you can find him 4x4ing throughout NJ, especially the Pine Barrens. He now resides in Virginia and will be settling down in Maryland in the near future. And yes, he makes the trip up to NJ just to be a part of the music and the people associated with it!
